The review process is conducted through the Steering Committee to ensure transparency and equitable distribution. Prioritization will be given to projects with scientific meritocracy and excellence, coupled with peer reviewed grants with accompanying funding. Decision will also be made based on the strategic objectives of the Singapore Tissue Network. In addition, applicants are to ensure that the study protocol has been reviewed and approved by their institute’s ethics review committee.

Except for shipping costs, there will be no charges for tissues for projects funded by Singapore’s Agency of Science, Technology and Research and for frequent tissue contributors. For researchers in the private sector, charges will be on a cost recovery basis or subsidized cost, and for overseas academics and industries, a full cost for the processing and delivery will be levied.
